Graham BRINSLEY Obituary

Artist, of Arrowtown, passed away peacefully in his home on December 1, 2023. Beloved father of Thomas, Alexia and Eleanor, brother of Marion. Sadly missed by family and friends. Fly high, Graham. We love you so much. A celebration of Graham's life will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 2.30pm in the Arrowtown Rugby Clubrooms. Please do not wear black. He never bought black paint, as there is no black in nature. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Cancer Society of New Zealand. Messages may be sent to c/- Exit Funerals, PO Box 2252, South Dunedin, Dunedin 9012.

A passing conversation with Graham and Ellie as to his profession. He was chuffed when it was discussed as to greatness in the art world. SIR Graham Brinsley it had a ring. Chuckling he is Sir Graham ..... always.

I will miss you so much Graham. Such an incredibly talented man and an all round awesome guy with a heart of gold. Grahams work was some of the best I have ever seen and he was always happy to donate his beautiful paintings to the various charities for their fundraisers. Generous to a fault. It´s been a long time since we first met, you as a young school boy with painting in hand arriving at Rosslyn Gallery in Dunedin. I have many many fond memories of those years. You will be very missed by many, you had amazing talent and a fantastic personality.
