To Gordon, Grant, Brent, Lynne, partners and families,
I am so sorry I was unable to be at Graemes service with Bob, but was able to watch it online. It was a wonderful tribute to a much loved Dad and Grandad. I have many memories of the Seaward Downs days with the families of Graemes generation, in later years a farming neighbour and later again through Rowena Jackson. Graeme had a long wonderful full life, our sympathy to you all.

To all within the McKenzie family. Sadly, I was not able to attend Graeme's service today but wish to pass on condolences to you all. Our mother Grace and Lorraine were great friends and those bonds run deep. Whilst 89 is a good old age to live to it is never easy losing a parent particularly one who was a legacy in his own right. However, I think most would agree Graeme's characteristics have not been lost through his three sons carrying those on. In the short term Damian will be reminding us of those as well.

To Gordon & Nicki, Grant & Phillipa, Brent & Moana, and Lynne & Kevin. Sorry to hear of the passing of Graeme and wish to extend to you all my deepest sympathies and condolences on your loss. Even though we knew the end was near, it still doesn't make the loss any less. Graeme had a great passion for rugby and have fond memories of him and the late Jimmy Carter from playing days and time spent on the Committee at the Woodlands Rugby Club. He never suffered fools, and expected you gave your best when you took the rugby field. His nickname of Grumpy was well earned if you didn't. Will be sadly missed.

Graeme. You were a great rugby player and your expertise did not go amiss.
You coached the Seaward Downs Rugby team at a sports ground just up the road from where you lived at the top of the Gorge. Cold nights at practice, and playing in muddy conditions, were all part of the fun. I chatted with Lorraine at the last Gorge Road School reunion, great catch-up. Your legacy lives on.
