With sadness I write this as Graeme was truely one of a kind. He was one of the most positive and get on with it person I have ever meet. I loved his humour and the way he really cared. We felt privileged to know him.
We will remember with a smile. X

To a man who could take a bad situation to good through his great nature. Graeme was an inspiration to running as an athlete and inspiring coach. His quick wit kept one on their toes, as to what came next. Loved by all whom he coached as he proved that each one off us always had potential to reach set goals. His close knit allowed him time to share in our lives for which I will always be grateful. Love to all the family. My last moments with him are so precious. Thanks Family.

Thinking of you all at this sad time. Sorry we are away and can´t visit but as everyone knows Graeme will be missed. Take care.

So sorry to hear of Graeme's passing. Fond memories of the St Pauls/Invercargill rivalry in the harrier seasons of many years ago.

It is with sadness I read of the death of Graeme Hyde. We spent lots of times together both running and laughing, I have fond memories of him.

Graeme was a special friend to me, loved his humour and his quick wit, he just got on living his life with his illness with Lesley always at his side. He will be so missed by all his friends and acquaintances and his loving family, fur baby coco and the late Mervyn. Rest easy Graeme, you lived your life to the full, way to go great man. Oh buddy - what a privilege to know you over these past 53 years - what a privilege to be alongside you and your wonderful loving family on your long journey - Even on that journey when told you cant or should not - you DID - You planted taters - gardened - went shopping - and defied and did what you could always of course with the entertainment ( no matter how tired you were) I admired you I loved you and I respected the advice. Thank you seems a small expression of the grief and hollowness in my heart.
