HAIG, Gavin Vernor:
(Retired Chief fire officer) Dip. PSM. Aged 76 years. (Peacefully) on Monday, February 15, 2021, at Southland Hospital. Much loved husband and friend of Marion for 54 years. Dearly loved Dad, father-in-law and Grandad of Steven* wand Sue, and Isaac (Perth); Chris and Louise, Sam, and Charlie (Dunedin); Tim and Hayley, Kayla, and Amy (Tauranga). Loved son of Vern* and Joyce* Haig, loved son-in-law of Marion* and Les* Miller, brother of Richard*, Rex*, Vernor*, Jillian*, Sandra Breese, Joy Auld, and loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
"At Rest".
A service for Gavin will be held in the St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Monday, February 22, at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Hokonui St John Ambulance may be left at the service. Messages to 14 Tainui Street, Gore 9710.
