To Gary´s family - we hope that you can share precious memories of the good times he had with you over the coming days and months and especially in those moments where you expect him to just walk back in the door. It is incredibly sad that Gary did not get the privilege of time to see his grandchildren grow up and as a family we have lost another sibling to this dreadful disease far too young.
Even though life travelled different paths for Gary and I as brothers over the years, I have many great memories of us growing up together. Especially the trouble we would get into being boys after there were so many girls in the family and in those early days when courting Helen and we were newly married. Although we will not be with the family in person at the service on Friday we will join in farewelling Gary via the livestream.
RIP little brother

Gary was good genuine kiwi bloke. We shared the same job ,often in abysmal weather wind, rain snow getting the phone lines going again. We did hunting trips up the Dean ,your memorable cookhouse of 6 different meats and a couple of eggs as vegetables, all on the same plate.and the banter on the sunday social golf sessions .Rest in peace mate.My condolences to Gary's family.
