Darlene Andrews Obituary

Darlene Ann Andrews, a beacon of generosity and spirited love, passed away on July 19, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on May 28, 1932, in Decatur, Arkansas, Darlene's life was a tapestry of dedication, joy, and heartfelt connections.
She was one of the first women to work at the Nampa, Idaho police station, a testament to her trailblazing nature. Darlene was a superb saleswoman for SAS and Naturalizer companies. She also was a stay-at-home mom and took pride in taking care of her family.
Her interests painted a vivid picture of a life lived with zest. Darlene's artistic talents shone through in her paintings, capturing the beauty of the world as she saw it. She was a regular at bingo halls and loved playing card games with her friends and family. Darlene loved cooking, especially for her grandchildren. She would make the best ice cream sundaes. Square dancing and singing were among her favorite pastimes, as was shopping.
Darlene was a woman of great heart and tenacity. She was the loving matriarch of a family that adored her, and her spirit will live on through them. She is survived by her sister Valna Davison in Idaho, and two devoted sons, Leonard Andrews in Nebraska and Marshall Andrews in Texas (wife Tamra). Her legacy also includes six grandchildren, Austin Andrews (wife Vanessa), Andrea Andrews, Aaron Andrews, Michelle Klein (husband Joseph), Shawn Andrews, Deborah Grigsby (husband William). Darlene also has 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Harry L. Andrews, her parents, Herbert and Dortha Lenz, and her brother, Eldon Lenz.
As we bid farewell to Darlene Ann Andrews, we celebrate a life that was as generous as it was full. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on this world. Darlene's story is not one of an ending, but a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can have on many. Her memory will be treasured, her lessons remembered, and her love will continue to guide us.

This is Connie Grondahl in Nampa Idaho. I worked with Darlene for many years at the Naturalizer shoe store in Karcher mall. For some reason, I was thinking about her and started looking for her on the Internet and noticed that she recently passed. My condolences to the family. I loved Darlene. She was a beautiful person.
