(J.P. retired). Peacefully in the dedicated care of the staff at Lake Wakatipu Home, on November 22 2016, in his 93rd year. Dearly loved husband of Joyce, loved and respected father of the late Neale, Gretchen Mark-Dear and Graeme Dear (Queenstown), Derek and Deirdre Mark (Perth), proud and loving FW of Kate and Daniel Batkin (Queenstown), Hamish Dear (Christchurch), Rose, Peter, Anna, and Finnian Mark (Perth), and adoring great-grandfather of Lucy Batkin. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Betty Winders, Noeline and the late Alan Carter, Peggy and the late Ern Hitchcock, Valerie and the late John Mark, Graham and Clare Mortimer. Private farewell.
