Evelyn McDOUGALL Obituary

Peacefully at Iona Enliven Care Home Oamaru on Friday, November 10, 2023. Aged 84. Dearly loved wife of the late Bill McDougall. Loved mum and mother-in-law of the late Allan McDougall and Pam Williams (Perth), Frances and Matt Ruatahi (Sydney), Elizabeth and Shane Stevenson (Oamaru). Loved Grandma/Mumma to Koha, Wiremu, Maia, Hari, Elena, Jai, and Nina. Loved sister to Judith, Jenifer, John, and the late James. Treasured sister-in-law and friend of Binny. Much loved auntie to her nieces and nephews. Mum's service will be held at First Church, Tay Street, Invercargill on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In celebration of Mum's life please where something bright and cheerful.

Dearest Evelyn, rest in peace. I will always be grateful for all you have done for Judy, my Mum. Your friendship, kindness and humour has always been a grounding pou for her. You have been a great 'little sister' to her, something she waited for 60 years to revel in. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Big hugs to all the whanau. Relax now, your work is done and you're back with Bill.

Evelyn and I over the years had many joyful conversations, and I was deeply saddened to hear she had become so ill. I send everyone warm greetings from my family. Rest in peace dear Evelyn. May Angels guard you while you sleep.
