Of Gore. Suddenly on Thursday, June 19, 2025, aged 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Hori, loved Mum and mother-in-law of Debby, Andrew and Raewyn, Stephen, Graeme; loved Nana of Daniel, and *Mitchell. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Kevin and June Hardie, *Mavis and *Bruce Fox, Barbara and Daryl Calderwood; *Greta and *Jim Colyer, *Bob and *Elsie, *Elvena and *Edwin Morris, Daphine and *Kevin Marsh, *Selwyn and *Carol, *Winston and *Heather, and loved Aunty of all her neices and nephews. A service to celebrate Merle's life will be held in the Esplin Room, of the Gore Town and Country Club, Bury Street, Gore, on Thursday, June 26, at 11.00am, followed by refreshments before family leave for a private interment. My dear aunt Merle with the beautiful smile and sparkling eyes. A genuinely lovely lady. I remember tables laden with delicious food! And so talented with her many crafts. And so many penpals around the world - all correspondence with pen and paper and that beautiful handwriting. Such a livewire. She and Uncle Horace made a wonderful team. My husband, John, and I are so saddened to know we'll never get to hug her again. Our thoughts are with her children - my cousins. Love Vicky.
