Eleanor Pickell Obituary

Of Peterborough, Ontario

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Eleanor on Friday, August 12th, 2022 at the age of 75. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, William "Ron" Pickell; Loving mother of Anne (John); and Heather (Todd). Remembered by her dear sister Aileen (Bill) Hockett and brother Bill (Judy) Walls. Preceded in death by her parents Russell and Anna Walls. "Honi" is fondly remembered by her step grandchildren Ethan, Sawyer, and Olivia; along with her loving Sister and Brother-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and caring friends. Eleanor's cherished animals Bobbie, Tommy, Charlie, and Kaleigh miss her greatly and are now in the loving care of Anne and her family. A celebration of Eleanor's life will be held on Sunday September 18th, 2022, 1-4 pm at Northview Gardens outdoor venue in Selwyn, Ontario. If desired, memorial contributions in Eleanor's memory can be made to The Peterborough Humane Society or Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary in Minden. Eleanor loved all animals and was for many years involved in their care through these two charitable organizations. The ALS Society of Canada is also close to our hearts as this is a disease that no one should ever have to endure.
