Eldred WILDEN Obituary
(of Gore) Suddenly, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, aged 76 years. Loved husband of Alison, devoted and much-loved Dad and father-in-law of Lucy and Tim Richardson (Christchurch), Julia and Paul Davidson (Auckland), Claire (Christchurch), Olivia and Jackson Copland (Dunedin), loved special Grandad of Hugo Richardson and Luca Davidson. Youngest son of *George and *Vida Wilden, loved brother of *Mervyn, Cyril (Dunedin) and loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Eldred's life will be held in the Gore Baptist Church, Ardwick Street, on Thursday, November 2, at 2.00pm, followed by cremation. Eldred was on the teaching staff at the same time as me. I remember him as a man of strong faith, who had a great love of his family, of whom he was very proud and he was always kind and thoughtful to staff and pupils alike.
I hope that your cherished memories of him will give you comfort in the difficult times ahead.
