27.5.1941 – 18.2.2025

From Hospice to heaven, Eddie passed peacefully in his sleep. Adored husband of Lyn, loved son of Stan*, Aileen*, and Lois*, loved dad of Shane (Cheese) and Rose, Justin and Tania, Tony and Jane, Gaye and Pete, and Dean, loved Grandad of Michael, and Hamish and loved Great-Grandad of Margot. Loved brother of Lloyd, Patsy, Kevin*, Marie*, Shona*, and Kath, loved son-in-law of Bas* and Ella* Ellwood, loved by all his nieces, nephews and their families. Dearly loved by his many friends.

'Now at one with his loved High Country'

Much gratitude and huge appreciation for the love care and support given to Eddie and family by Dr Neil and all the staff at Invercargill and Gore Hospice and Invercargill and Gore Hospitals. On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Eddie's request, a private family only graveside service will be held. All friends are welcome to join family for afternoon tea and light refreshments at the Waikaia Commercial Hotel from 2.00pm. Messages to 90 Robertson Street, Gore 9710.

Condolences to the O´Connor Families. Eddy was the school bus driver and occasional groundskeeper for the school. He always went out of his way to help with activities within the school community. It was a sad day when he decided to retire. Rest in peace Eddie. You deserve the rest.
