LOOSE,Edward Albert (Ted):
Born August 23, 1935, formerly of Te Anau, passed away peacefully in Davao, Philippines, on June 24, 2022. Husband of Cely Loose, and the late Mereana Loose (nee Weka) and the late Ellen Loose (nee Haraki). Father of John, Michael, Ripora (Toots), Genie, Ngaire, Carol, Harriet, Jim, Mahinarangi, Hine-Wai, Moragh, Step-father to Joy, Joanne and Adriann and loved by his mokopuna. A special thank you to the Lumaino family for their love and support during Ted's final time on earth. Ted is currently resting at Rome-A-Chapel, Cosmopolitan Memorial at Camus Street, Davao City, with a service to be held. If you would like further details please email

So sad to read of Ted's passing. Ted and Mere and the family were held in great esteem by my parents, Marie and Ian Galloway, when we lived in Mossburn. I recall happy, fun times our family playing with your family. Mere's friendship with mum was a highlight of her time in Southland. This comes with much sympathy and aroha to the whanau.
