Ernest Guerriero Obituary

Ernest M. Guerriero, 95, of Connellsville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at St. Ann's Hospital of Columbus at Westerville, Ohio. He was born Feb. 18, 1912, in Connellsville, a son of the late William and Margaret Feniello Guerriero. He was a lifelong resident of Connellsville and was retired from Chubb Life Insurance Co., where he was general manager at several offices, including Greensburg, from which he retired. He was an avid trout fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed playing golf at Pleasant Valley Country Club where he was a member. During his retirement, he and his late wife traveled extensively in their Airstream and were privileged to visit all the United States from 1970 to 2005. The Guerrieros spent winters in Florida where they had many dear friends. He was a lifelong member of St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Guerriero Vaughn and her husband, James, of Galena, Ohio; grandchildren, Vicki Mock, Lori Grim and her husband, Mark, James Scott Vaughn and his wife, Beth, all of Westerville, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Andrea Mock, Tracy Mock, Kelley Grim, Brandon Grim, McKenzie Vaughn and Alex Vaughn; great-great-grandchildren, Anthony Schneider and Joseph Schneider, all of Westerville, Ohio; and a sister, Eleanor Nahas, of Akron, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Ernest was predeceased by his wife of 74 years, Audrey Pirl Guerriero, May 9, 2007; two brothers, James C. Guerriero and William Guerriero Jr.; and a sister, Genevieve Guerriero.Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Cyktor officiating.
