Suddenly on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Peacehaven Retirement Village; aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Fay, much loved father and father-in-law of Melissa and Michael; Cynthia and Peter; and the late Quintin. Loved Grandad of Connor and Lucy. Loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle of all his extended families. A farewell for Doug will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 1.30pm, J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. Doug was a wonderful brother-in-law to me, a great mentor to my children when they were young, and always ready to fix things for me when I was a single Mum. He was kind, patient, loved his rugby and cricket, and he will be greatly missed. RIP.
