Condolences to Donald's family. I was a border at the Harwood home in Mosgiel In the late 1950s early 1960s, Played rugby with Don, Lots of memories of that time. Rest in peace Donald.

Sadly passed away at age 84. You are fondly remembered by many old meat Industry folk and especially the Waitaki NZR team. Your commitment to the New Zealand Meat Industry was both significant and inspirational. You always had a strong desire to act in the best interests for all. Despite there being a challenging industry environment you were able to pave many a path to new meat markets during a well travelled and distinguished career. Don, as a person you will also always be remembered for your wonderful generosity. This included the unconditional gift of time to people as part of a deep seated willingness to help, support and do the right thing. You will be missed and never forgotten. R.I.P. Don.
