Desmond James (Des):
Peacefully on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Rowena Jackson Rest Home. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Anne for 51 years. Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Diane and Mark Hopwood (Invercargill), and Paul and Suzanne (Canberra). Loved Day to Harrison, and Laura; Enya, Sam, Marika, and Bryleigh, and Great-Day to Koby, and Braxton. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Rex and Denise and loved uncle of Mark, Michael, and Adele and Mike Larsen (Invercargill). Loved brother-in-law of Beverly (Wellington) and loved uncle of Stephen (Wellington), and Susanne and Stephen and loved great-uncle to Kate and Lucinda (Sydney). Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Rowena Jackson for your care and kindness.

its been many many years since i have seen you two dianne and paul so i send my deepest sympathys to you both on the loss of des. I considered anne and des to be my second mum and dad in those early 70's. I can see both of them up there singing charley pride and des with a godam bourbon love to you both and families.
