DE WATER Ivan Peter VAN

DE VAN Obituary

Miriam, along with Anthony and Jenna, George, Lucy and Thea; Jake and Kimberley, Oliver and Finn, Anna and Lloyd, and Lily would like you all to know how much we appreciate your love and support shown to all of us in the recent tragic loss of Ivan, while living his best life, flying in the Dingleburn Valley Hawea, on March 29, 2025.

A huge thank you to the flyers who were first at the scene, offering comfort to Ivan, and to the Wanaka Volunteer SAR for Bringing Ivan home.

It's hard to express words to explain our gratitude to those of you that came by with kind words, food, flowers, cards, practical help, please know that you have softened our sorrow by showing that you care.

To Lynette and Paul thank you so much for caring for Ivan, for your professionalism and patience as we dealt with a multitude of things all going on at once while we prepared our farewell to Ivan.

Fr Martin and Fr Pat, we so appreciate the beautiful service, and thank you for helping us to prepare it. We're proud and happy that Ivan has had a wonderful send off to a great place.

To our families, friends, neighbours and colleagues, thank you all for coming along to Ivan's farewell service in Wanaka, and the livestream service in Gore and those who watched the livestream from near and far. It has truly warmed our hearts that you were there, and afterwards catching up with us all sharing memories of Ivan.

He is so missed…
