David THOMPSON Obituary

On June 12, 2024, aged 92.75 years, Les was reunited with his cherished wife Lesley and his beloved children Ailene and Brent. Much loved by Grant, Roz and Rowena, sons-in-law Michael Van Eden and Mike Byrne, Grandsons Josh Kennedy, Sam Kennedy; and Thomas, and Amy Sturgess. GG to Nora, and Arthur; and loved Les of Eva, Tony, Jack, and Meila. A service to celebrate Les's life will be held on Monday, June 17, at St Stephens Church, Waikiwi, Invercargill, commencing at 1.00pm, followed by interment. Donations to the Out of School Music Classes Scholarship Fund instead of flowers would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to Thompson Family, 69 Bond Street Invercargill 9810, or can be left on Les's tribute page at distinctfunerals.co.nz where a live stream link for the service can be found.

Dear Roz, Grant, and Rowena and all your families, We were saddened to learn of Les's passing and we are so glad we had the opportunity to meet up with him at Slope Point in January, and also you and Michael Roz.
