David McARTHUR Obituary

On May 8, 2025, peacefully at home, after a courageous fight, but with a positive attitude, surrounded by his loved ones, including the dogs Bumble and Tui; aged 57 years. Loved husband and best friend of Trudy Hutchison, cherished 'David' of Daniel and Liana, Hannah and Blake, and adored 'Poppa' of Rudy. Beloved son of Jenny and the late Neil McArthur (Alexandra), loved and respected big brother of Nigel and Tracy, Martin and Michelle, loved uncle of Ben and Abi, Finn and Emma. Loved brother-in-law of Ross and Lynda Hutchison, the late Stuart, and the late Suzanne. loved uncle of Sam and Lisa, Ben and Kirby, and James and Kumudu.

Gone to fix the gates of heaven

A celebration of David's life will be held in the Taieri Rugby Clubrooms, 35 Reid Avenue, Mosgiel, at 2.00pm on Friday, May 16, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
