On the beautiful spring day of April 24, 1994, David Murray Jeffery was born to Barry Jeffery and Lisa Cormier in Thunder Bay. We lost him suddenly and tragically on October 15, 2021.
David was raised in Red Rock, loved going to school, playing hockey, and spending his days at camp on Stewart Lake. He enjoyed canoe adventures with his brother Tom and cousin Brent, climbing Howe Mountain, swimming at the CN Railroad slabs, and spending time with his many friends.
Words used to describe David in life and in his passing that have been shared include: open-minded, positive, loving, friendly, kind, respectful, and helpful.
David graduated from Red Rock Public School in 2008 and Nip-Rock High School in 2013. He worked on various jobs including bridge construction, highway maintenance, the water treatment plant, and hydro cutting.
He enjoyed a close relationship with his Aunt Sheri and Uncle Bill. His cousins Joe, Mike, and Misty loved him like their little brother.
David was predeceased by grandparents Tom and June Jeffery, Edwin and Lillian Rajala, and many special aunts and uncles.
David is survived by dad Barry Jeffery of Red Rock; mom Lisa Cormier of Thunder Bay; sister Donna, brother-in-law Greg, nephews Dale, Owen, Emet, and Karl of Littlefork, MN; brother Tom and sister-in-law Erin of Neebing; brother James, sister-in-law Olga, niece Lillian, and nephew Alexander of Waterloo; special friend Marrissa Chalifoux of Red Rock, and numerous treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. David kept a quote on his wall that said, "There is a point between strides where neither foot is touching the ground." Now he has made the stride above and is watching over all of us. He lives on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him on this earth.
A gathering will be planned in Red Rock in the summer of 2022 to commemorate David's life.

Sympathy and condolences for your loss. Love and thoughts out to all the family. I only briefly met David before and heard of him more through his sister-in-law sharing interesting anecdotes with or about him.

It has been a while since I last saw Dave. I had just heard that he got back from out West, and actually talked to him a bit on the phone last month. It caught me off guard to hear the news, and my greatest condolences to his family.
He was a great friend, and I'll always remember fishing together and camping out on Wolf Lake.

David had a great smile and was always respectful to me at Nip-Rock high. Although he may be gone he flies high because of the love his family and friends have for him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and community.

The Chappell family would like to convey their sincere condolences on the loss of David. He was a very nice, polite, and respectful young man and I watched him grow up down the street from us. I will miss him walking by and giving me the nicest greeting almost everyday.
