Huge loss, will miss our bartering for my bucket of mutton birds in exchange for antiques, always enjoyed the grand tour and never quite knew what would turn up.

Dear Helen and Family,
My sincere condolences on the passing of David. I haven't lived in Invercargill for many years but remember my time of working for David and Keith with fond memories.

Dear Helen and Family,
I´m so sorry to hear of David´s passing. I have many fond memories of you both visiting Mum and Dad when I was growing up in Invercargill, and of staying with you in Moeraki. My thoughts are with you and your family during this very difficult time. May you feel his presence in the small, everyday moments and find comfort in the lasting impact he had on so many lives.

Dear Helen and family we are so sorry to hear of David's passing. Invercargill will not be the same. We loved loved his company his wise thoughts on all subjects. I can imagine him negotiating with St Peter to get best heavenly deal. His wisdom immense value to me. John Ann Bews

So sorry to here of the loss of David. He was one of those people who you may not have seen for 5 years but when you caught up seemed like you last seen him last week. True Southlander and good bugger. Will be missed.

A wonderful Uncle, always good for a chat. Fond memories of him storing his felt stories in our garage and us kids mixing them all up. You will be remembered for your passion for antiques, your snooker skills, chess skills and your fabulous stories. Rest in love xx

A sad day when hearing of David´s passing. A fine gentleman and someone I considered a friend. David often had coins for me to look at and value, and our regular chats in the shop will be missed. Condolences to the family. Paul Brown.

Dear Helen and family,
So very sad to read that David has died. You have my deepest sympathy. His loss to Southland and all of us antique lovers will be huge and I will always be grateful to David for finding things somewhere in your building that were so rare they were nowhere else. So very sad I can't chat to him anymore and he will be always missed.

Hello Helen and family, I am very sad to read of David passing away. He was such a character and a fine businessman, so well known in Invercargill and Southland. He knew his antiques and the families around Southland. He saved so much of our history and treasured things decades before anyone else thought to. RIP Davd. Lynne (Ferguson) Hunt, Invercargill
