Suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Much loved partner of Sandra Murdoch. Loved father of Tony, Damien, Bryce, and Tristan. Loved step-dad of Kerri, Alicia and Marty.Much loved Grandad and Poppa to his grandchildren. Beloved son of Matt Hosie* and Margaret Spencer. Loved stepson of Caroline Hosie and Arnie Spencer. Loved brother of Des and Helen Hosie, Fergus* and Delwyn Hosie, Sarah Hosie-Leaf and David Batson. David was a much loved uncle and a friend to many. A celebration of David's life will be held at 1.30pm, on Friday, September 22, 2023 in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner of Esk and Doon Streets Invercargill. Interment to follow at Eastern Cemetery. Messages to Sandra at 13 Cree Street Invercargill or The Hosie Family, 122 Newcastle Street, Windsor, Invercargill, or on David's tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes where there will be a link to the livestream of the service. * (denotes deceased)

Sad to hear of Dave's passing, he was a good man with a patient ear .It's been too long since we caught up and I'm sad that we won't have that opportunity.
