David Peter (Fire):
Died with his boots on in the company of his new foal. Beloved soulmate of Chris (Gibby). Really great Dad of Jake. Beloved son of the late Louis and Bessie Haywood. Loved brother of Trevor. Cherished friend and outlaw of Carrol and Udi (Israel), Gordy and Fay (Arrowtown), Avril and Denys (Wellington), Lois and Willie (Christchurch), Glenda (Jock) and the late John (Palmerston North), Dean and Aroha, Teressa, and the late Rex. An adored uncle of his extended family. A service to celebrate Fire's life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Sunday, 16 October, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 43 Lees Street, Invercargill 9810.

We will miss you, we enjoyed our conversations and working together at the cow shed. You had a magic way with animals, and were always there to lend a hand. Thinking of you Chris and Jake, fire was a top man.

Heartfelt condolences to Chris and Jake on Fire's passing. I have some wonderful memories of Fire's exploits while we were at Lincoln. He was a good man and the life and soul of the party - he will be missed.

Saddened to hear of Fire's passing. Fire was an awesome laid back and easy going friend and flat mate during our Lincoln years. His love was rugby, horses and beer. Great memories. Sincere condolences to Chris, Jake and family.
