Daphne HARKNESS Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, aged 75 years. Much beloved wife of the late Ron, treasured mum and mother-in-law of Chris and Karen, and Sharon and Steve, adored nana of Sarah, Emma, Toby, and Sam. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Alan (deceased) and Joan, and Ron; sister-in-law of Colleen and Graeme. Daughter of the late Jean and Cecil Coutts. Much loved aunt and great aunt to her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to Windsorcare would be appreciated and may be made at the service. Messages for the Harkness family may be sent to PO Box 26112, Christchurch 8148. A service for Daphne's family and close friends will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, cnr of Keighleys Road and Linwood Avenue, Christchurch, on Tuesday, November 28, at 11.00am.

So sorry to hear of Daphne's passing. Daphne and Ron were good friends whilst we were living in Westport and Timaru.

To Daphne's family. Daphne was a very special person. When we first met we just clicked straight away. We kept in touch even when we both had sickness in our lives. I will miss her a lot. It was my privilege to visit her at Windsor. I know they looked after her very well. My love and prayers to you all at this sad. But remember Mum is now out of pain and with her beloved Ron.
