Cyril McFADZIEN Obituary

Cyril passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Gore Hospital on Tuesday, August 19, 2025; aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret*, loved father and father-in-law of Pam and Gary (Gore); Helen*; Andrew and Debbie (Cromwell); David and Helen (Ferndale); Bruce (Gore); and Jono and Amy (Harwood); cherished Grandad of Michelle and Adam (Arrowtown), and Louise and Ezra (Lake Hawea); Laura and Matt (Palmerston North); Kelsey (Whanganui), Maegan (Ferndale), and Devin (Dunedin); Great-Grandad of Hunter, Beauden, and Zara (Arrowtown); Finley, and Mabel (Lake Hawea). Son of Jim* and Agnes*, loved brother and brother-in-law of Jim and Dorothy (Gore); Dorothy* and Alan* Crump (Wyndham); Henry and Audrey (Ferndale), brother-in-law of John* Shankland (Mataura), and Matt Shankland and Rachel Watson (Christchurch), loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service for Cyril will be held on Monday, August 25, at the Mataura Community Centre, 2 McQueen Ave, at 2.00pm, then leaving for the Mataura cemetery.
