To Di and family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Craig's sudden death last week. It is over 30 years since Craig and I were recruited by Jacqui Hall at the Ministry of Fisheries at Great Point in Wellington. Craig introduced me to the intricacies of Fisheries as well as Ice Hockey as Fiona has noted. Since Craig left the Ministry I have enjoyed working with him as he became one of the top professionals within the NZ Fishing Industry. He will be missed by many of us. Rest in Peace. Our thoughts are with Craig's family at this devastating time. I knew Craig from our time together at the University of Otago. There was a lot of partying especially with Mike, Chris, George, John and myself. Having recently moved back to New Zealand from Canada, Craig helped my husband (Richard Tomecek) and I gain access to the NHL (ice hockey). It think it was more his son that helped us. We liked to talk and text back and forth about the hockey games. He was very knowledgeable about the game and it's players. Go NJ Devils although we are Habs fans. Rest in peace.
