Dear Marina, Harold and Grant So sorry to hear of Colin's passing. He was a fun guy that tolerated a lot of non-stop chatter when Janeice and I got together. I'll be thinking of you Linley x

Colin was one of my favourite people in the St Mark's church choir. He had a real heart for the Lord and a strong faith. I am so grateful for his life and encouraging influence on those around him.

To the Garthwaite family.
I remember Colin as a happy person, with
always a a joke or a story to tell. He would often recall his happy times spent in the Southland region.I did enjoy his company when we were out tramping with the over 40's tramping club.
Rest in peace Colin.

Colin was a wonderful man devoting a life alongside my sister, encouraging their children toward all-round community interests. In a nice way, always interested and communicated well to all....
'Near Seven decades we dare look back,
Colin is his name, and sharp as a tack,
Drove an Austin Seven years gone by...
Wi' Marina look'n by the corner a' her eye,
A'fore he could blink a knot they did tie.
To the book, one by two by three came they,
Harold, Janeice, Grant 'turn House ta Home.
Wash/mc, bicycles, motors inside and out,
He could fix 'em all, without a doubt.
Ross, Ken. Don and Bob T....
All support to Colin and Marina....
Some years went by with good times galore,
Sports and kids and much, much more...
Marina and Colin may they settle down?
Not on your life, they've headed out' town.
Tramp'n, Sports and Basketball too...
Grand-kids listen'd everything achieved,
Ta' see them as Champions to their podiums,
Colin and Marina 'n three generations,
We're here to honour this Giant humble man,

"We pay tribute to a pure family man who has touched our heart more than anyone can. Always a smile with a friendly word...
Thy's na greater man, even God has heard."

Dear Marina and family
Colin was a good man, a good mate and an inspiration to many of us in the Over Forties Tramping Club. He could talk up a good yarn, with his trade mark humour. It was a privilege to know him.
Our thoughts are with you at this time.

On behalf of Air Force Museum, my deepest condolences to Marina and the rest of the family at this difficult time. Colin was a fantastic member of our Tuesday Volunteer team, and before ill health limited the time he could spend at the Museum, he really brought something special to the role, he will be sadly missed.

Aunty Marina and family, I am thinking of you and send my love to you. I had so much respect for Uncle Colin and you Aunty Marina when I was able to see you both in the earlier years. I will always remember his caring nature and cheeky smile. And yours too!!
