I am very sad to read of Colins passing.A true gentleman, very helpful, and most of all very caring. He loved a joke and always had a kind word to say to all.I enjoyed knowing Colin at work at Kew Hospital all those years ago and catching up with him after we both had retired. Our sympathy to Colins family as we all knew him and thought he was great. Shona Fordyce and Family.

A memory on behalf of the Whelan Family.
Colin was a close friend of my father the late Harold Whelan. We visited Colin's grocery store when I was very young, a walk down from Dipton Street. Colin always gave us a sweet before a walk home. Last spoke to Colin at my fathers funeral some 14 years ago.
Colin was always a true gentleman and always thought of others first.
He will be sadly missed.

Colin was my Mother's cousin and I'm writing this message in behalf of that side of the family. Colin was always the perfect gentleman, caring and always interested in family matters. An excellent sportsman in cricket, lawn bowls and golf. A perfectionist in what ever he did. Our sincere condolences to his family to a man that lived a good life

A wonderful mentor to me in my cricketing days at the Appleby Cricket Club. Taught me to drive his Humber 80 when repairing the cricket wicket at Appleby on a Sunday morning after play on the Saturday. I was his grocery boy at Dobbie's Grocery Store Elles Road. Sincere condolences to Colin's family and friends.
