Claude KAHN Obituary

With profound grief and shock, the Kahn family announces that Claude died on 12 July, 2025, suddenly and unexpectedly, aged 90 years. Daughter Sophie was by his side. Born 28 March, 1935, in London, England. Beloved son of Gertrud Regine Lerchenthal and Joachim Friedrich Kahn. Cherished grandchild of Robert & Liesl and Berthold & Jossy. CEO of ADOS Chemical Company. Gifted pianist, passionate skier and chess player, creative mind, unwavering optimist. Adored and precious father of Sophie, and Marcus, Richard, Elizabeth, Charlotte. Loved grandfather of Oliver, Georgie, Lucy. Dearly loved by relations in the UK, USA, Italy, Argentina. Remembered with love by the mother of his children, Jenepher, and also his dear partner Renee. Claude was cremated at a beautiful and intimate gathering on 18 July, 2025, at Karori cemetery, in the suburb where he raised his family, and after spending his final earthly night in his treasured childhood home. Heartfelt thanks to those who have expressed their shock, their love for Claude, and provided support. Claude's luminous smile, his intellect, charm, humour, warm heart, morality, strength, and passion for life will all be so incredibly missed, as will his love of driving, cars, animals, his encyclopedic knowledge of wildlife and his special adoration for lions.
