Christopher Steven (Chris):

1.4.1971 - 6.9.2021

Chris finally ran out of lucky close calls on September 6, 2021, while surfing at St Clair Beach, doing what he loved, in a place that he loved. Loved husband and best mate of Louise, and most awesome and loved Dad of Ollie and Ben. His loss is keenly felt by his parents Norm and Carol, and his brother Brendon, sister-in-law Angela, and their children Keira and Ryan. Chris will be sorely missed by his many friends. A private family farewell has been held, with a celebration to give Chris the farewell he deserves to be held in early 2022, with details to be advised. Messages to PO Box 991, Dunedin.

Just wanted to pass on my sincere condolences for the loss of Chris. Ive had the pleasure of working with Chris since he started at Port and am really missing his wisdom and humour. He really was one of the good guys and my heart bleeds for you all. Take care and know we are all missing him at work.
