Christine RODGERS Obituary

It is with much sadness we advise Christine passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Hospice Southland after a brave and courageous battle with MND, aged 57. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Bruce. Much loved and amazing Mum of Josh and Courtney. Loved daughter of Niall* and Joy*, and daughter-in-law of Bill* and Joan* Rodgers. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Anne and Ross Taylor, Jamie* and Sandra* Campbell, Kathryn Campbell, Helen and Don Thompson, Lynette and Michael* McLees. A much-loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Hospice Southland for their care and support. A service to celebrate Christine's life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Friday, November 1 at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation. A long time staff member of E Hayes Giftware Dept. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and can be made at the service. Messages can be sent to 105 Ward Street, Invercargill 9810 or to the tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes where there will be a link to the stream of the service.

So sorry to hear this news and I wish to send sincere condolences to your family and friends. We were best friends in form 3 and 4 and used to rush home after school to watch "The Mickey Mouse Club" and knew all the words to it. You were always very caring and such fun, and artistic trying out new ideas on my hair ouch. We had a lot of sleepovers at your house and your mum made the best tan square. Oh Kathryn I was so saddened to hear of Christine's passing. My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
