(CMT 923126) (Formerly of Popotunoa) Peacefully, surrounded by family at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in his 92nd year. Loved husband of Merle for 67 years. Loved Dad and father-in-law of Lynda and Paul O'Hagan (Alexandra), Alison Mills and Gunni Egilsson (Beaumont), Stephanie and Neil Anderson (Wanaka), Tracey and Stephen McDonough (Waimumu). Adored 'Grandad George' of Erin, Peter, Felicity*, and Michael; Petur, Sara, and Isak; Kate, Tomas, Liam, and Joseph; Heath, Fynn, Lucy, and Ned; all their partners, and besotted great Grandad of all his 11 plus great grandchildren. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Kevin* and Shirley*, Mary and Les* Stebbing, Anne* and Jack* Grose, Imelda* and Ian Burns, Bill*, Gerard* and Jane, Robert and Christina, John* and Bernice*, Margaret, Dave and Lyn, Des* and Muriel* Ashby, Arthur* and Joan* Ashby, Joy and Ian* Kane, and loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A requiem mass, to celebrate George's life, will be held at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Thursday, March 20, at 11.00am, with Rosary being held on Wednesday, March 19, at 6.00pm.
