Goodness me - I was not aware that dear Lorne was 'with us' - let alone that she was in Dunedin. I am sad re this.... Lorne and Allan introduced themselves to me when they lived along Mt Barker. My ex husband Michael Power was managing Criffel for Joan Bell. This was 1975 - 1978. Line took an avid interest in my wellbeing. She became aware of our busy life:would bake biscuits and make a lemon cordial for our three young children. Many cats bucket of plums and apricots came my way to make sauce. A kind soul. I recall Lorne had a brother who built and flew a plane. She was ever so proud of him. Recently both Bill and Raylene Jelley passed away. I visited these identities of Mt Barker in January 2023 - and wish now that I had asked of your Family. What a grand age Lorne reached - I hope her life in latter years, was as interesting as she was interested in life, in her early years. Condolences to You All. I have fond memories of Lorne when I worked on the farm during my Lincoln holidays in the late `60´s. Allan and Lorne were great people to work for . She even taught me how to play Crib. Sincere condolences to you all
