On Wednesday 28 March 2018, peacefully at Lake Wakatipu Care Home, with family at her side. Dearly loved wife of Des; precious mother and mother-in-law of Chanel and Jeff, Philippa (Pip) and Taivesi, Sally and Fletcher, Tom and Katie, Clare and Wayne; treasured Nanny of Bede, Rita, Frida, Francis, Lylla, Darcie and Ethan, and dear friend to many. Thank you to the staff at Kew Hospital, Ward 3 at Dunedin Public Hospital and Lake Wakatipu Care Home for the care given to Kit. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Kit's life will be held at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 16 Ardwick Street, Gore, on Tuesday 3 April, commencing at 10.30am, with a private burial to follow at Garston Cemetery. Messages may be addressed to the O'Brien family at PO Box 3, Garston 9750.
