WHITAKER, Carolyn (Nana):
After a courageous battle. Carolyn passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland, on Friday, May 26, 2023. Much loved wife and best friend of the late Ray. Devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Marcus, Scott and Amanda, and Louise. A very proud Nana of Claudia, the late Emma Rose, Isobel, Charlie, Hollie and Leilah. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Judy and Bill Beaumont (Nelson), Colin and Christine Whitaker, Glenda and Brian Brown (Alexandra). Loved daughter of the late Perc and Norma Edney, and daughter-in-law of the late Ev and Ivan Whitaker. Much loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. The Whitaker family wish to thank the Doctors and Staff at Hospice Southland for taking exceptional care of Carolyn. A service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held at J Fraser and Sons' Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, at 1.30pm on Thursday, June 1, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice Southland.
