SPAIN, Brian Beaton:
Brian passed peacefully at Southland Hospital on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, with Ruth and Melissa at his side, aged 81 years. Brian is now at peace, no more suffering. Loved husband of Ruth, for 55 years. Much loved Dad to Fergus (Rolleston), Stephen and Bev (Tasmania), Blair*, and Melissa (Opio). Adored Grandad of Kaylee, Rebecca, Tait, Logan, and Jack.

Loved brother and brother-in-law to Graeme and Helen Spain, and Keith and June Spain, Mavis* and Noel* Allison, June* and Colin Moyles, Maree* and John* Kempthorne, Nelson and Roseanne Pyper, Gordon* and Margaret* Pyper, Colin* and Joy Pyper, Carol and Robbie Diack, and Sid Pyper. A loved uncle to many. A service for Brian will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11.00am. Following a cuppa, Brian will be taken to the Eastern Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his son, Blair.
