Brian FLETCHER Obituary

6.1.1955 - 7.1.2025

Gail, Alex and Nicole, Margie and Alan, Penny and Simon along with grandchildren Albie, Gus, Sigourney and baby Anderson would like to acknowledge that it has been a year since Brian's death. We miss him every day. Brian was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. The family would like to make a belated but sincere thank you to many people who gave support throughout Brian's illness, death and during the last difficult and challenging year. Firstly we would like to thank those who visited Brian when he was unwell. He appreciated you coming. After Brian's death many neighbours , colleagues, family members and friends gave support by providing help, food and flowers. We also wish to thank Cloudy Bay for their advice and continuing support. We would like to express our thanks to Judge Russell, Judge Dywer and the Blenheim District Court for their moving tribute to Brian as a lawyer. Gascoigne Wicks staff and partners have also given us guidance and advice that has been greatly appreciated. Brian and the family were very grateful for the dignified care he received at Wairau Hospital and the Hospice. Gail would also like to show her appreciation for the ongoing support the Cancer Society has given.

Brian is greatly missed. We miss his wicked sense of humour, his calmness in times of stress, his advice and the love he showed to us.
