Brian BURKE Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Michael Burke, on January 7, 2025, aged 78, in Queenstown. Beloved husband of Fay Burke (deceased), devoted father and father-in-law of Regan and Belinda, and Karla and Jackson, cherished grandfather of Camden, Harper, Mila, and Brooke. He was a dear brother to Erin, Patrick, and John (deceased), adored uncle to both the Burke and Wilson nieces and nephews.

Brian was loved and respected by many and will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at 6.30pm, followed by a Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January 15 at 11.00am at St Joseph's Church, 41 Melbourne Street, Queenstown. All who knew and loved Brian are warmly invited to join in celebrating his life and bidding him farewell. Livestream available – www.southernlakesfunerals.co.nz

We were sad to read of Brian's death. He was a good bloke to work with at the Smelter. We enjoyed Fay and Brian's company at the Smelter dinners, mostly held at the Strathern. Our thoughts are with Regan and Karla and Family at this time of sadness.
