Billie Ray Obituary

Billie Ann Tolston Ray passed away peacefully at her home in Bogart, Georgia, surrounded by family on March 16, 2025.

She was born in Rocky Mount, Nash County, North Carolina on September 10, 1943. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Mims Ray, and her parents, Ernest Elwood and Margaret Jackson Tolston. She is survived by her sister, Claudia Tolston Linkous, her niece Eugenia "Gena" Dawson (Bobby) Boyd, her great-nephew, Jacob T. Boyd and her great-niece, Emma C. Boyd. Graveside service will be held at Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh, NC on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to your local animal shelter in memory of Billie and her beloved dogs, ChuChu, Peanut, and Alley.
