Bill SMITH Obituary

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Southland Hospital on Saturday, August 16, 2025, aged 53 years. Dearly loved husband of Rosi. Loved father and father-in-law of Bethany and Regan*, and Lachlan. Stepfather to Jacques, Shannon, and Lorcan. Adored Grandad of Benji, Tui, Layla, and Ronan. Cherished son of Bruce and the late Sharon Smith*. Much-loved brother and brother-in-law of Loren and Craig. A special uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Bill's love, kindness, and humour touched everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Southland. A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at St Mary's Basilica, Tyne Street, on Friday at 10.00am, followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery.
