(Bernie/Barnie):
Suddenly at home on Sunday, July 1, 2018. Dearly loved husband of Joan. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Fraser and Gill, Liz and Jonny, and Pip and Glen. Special "Grumps" to Lachlan and Ruby. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Lesla*, Don* and Maureen, and Margaret and Jo*. Loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Bernie's life will be held in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 61 King Street, on Friday, July 6, at 11.00am. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St John Ambulance at the service. (*denotes deceased)

My heartfelt sympathy to Joan upon her sad loss of Bernie and the ending of recent years of gratifying care which so enhanced both of their meaningful family life.
My sympathy to all of Bernie's family who have been the beneficiaries of a dutiful man.
I share a loss with many, many friends and acquaintances of varying tenure during a lifetime who had to have better sensed "relationship security" due to their knowing Bernie and Joan.
