Avelyn WYLIE Obituary

(Formerly of Edendale). Peacefully at Clare House Rest Home, Invercargill, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, aged 76 years. Loved wife of Les (Invercargill), cherished Mum and mother-in-law of Brett and Gail (Invercargill), Megan and Terrence O'Brien (Invercargill), and adored Nana of Jacob, Connor; Samuel, Noah, Benji, and Manahau. Loved sister, sister-in-law and Aunty of all her extended family. A service to celebrate the life of Avelyn will be held at the Edendale Christian Activity Centre, George Street, on Wednesday, July 23 at 1.30pm, followed by refreshments before the interment. Livestream available at www.southernfuneralhome.co.nz. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully received for the Lumsden St John. Special thanks to all the staff of Clare House Rest Home for all their wonderful care of Avelyn. Messages to 3/211 Racecourse Road, Invercargill 9810.

To Les, Brett, Megan and families, we are so very sorry to hear of Avelyn's passing. She was a good friend and we always enjoyed catching up, even though distance made this challenging of late. Greg and I are so pleased we saw her a few days ago. and have very special memories of her. She will be greatly missed. Sorry we cannot be at the service, we will be joining online.
