Anthony KREFT Obituary
On Friday, September 15, 2023, at Dunedin Hospital; in his 79th year. Loving father of John and Sarah (Ranfurly), Grant and Luna (Los Angeles), and Martin and Ellie (Dunedin), loving Grandad of Thomas, Liberty, and Skyla, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Jake and Donna (Picton), Mary and David Pescini (Matamata), Denis* and Sandra (Ranfurly), Elizabeth* and Warren Mulcahy (Mangawhai), and Margaret and Peter* Davis (Ranfurly), loved uncle Tony of his nieces and nephews, and a special friend to Ruth and Peter Findlay, Jim and Sue* Hore, Cyril Morris, Donald Dunsmuir, Paul Allison, Graeme, Nicki and Georgia Bremner, Kerry and Gary Lockhart. A service for Tony will be held on at the Ranfurly Stadium, 1 Dungannon Street, Ranfurly, at 1.30pm on Friday, September 22, followed by a private burial at the Ranfurly Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed at: www.campbellandsons.co.nz/live-stream. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the Ranfurly Medical Centre, Hospital and Dunedin Public Hospital. When I lived at Balclutha 1967/68 I met Tony on the rugby field, both for and against. He was a supportive man on and off the paddock and all these years later I have only good memories of our brief time together. My deepest respects go to Tony and family.
