Our condolences go out to you Peter & your family on the tragic loss of a very special, talented and caring person. Ann played the bagpipes at our wedding 43 years ago in Christchurch as she knew how much I loved the sound of them. It was very appropriate also as I married into the McDonald clan. My husband David has Scottish heritage on both sides of his family. Ann´s father and my father, Lloyd Walker were brothers. You can be proud that Ann´s life, though relatively short, was well lived, making a huge mark on everyone around her. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Ann has carved her place in history because she cared enough to ensure that others who had made the sacrifice were remembered. Ann's energy and and determination ensured whatever she turned her hand to was the best effort and outcome for others, a selfless legacy to all. Rest knowing that you have helped others remember those whose sacrifice was for all.

Hello there Robbie family, just a note from an x pipe band member of Wai and Invers, and knew Wee Annie through association. Was at her place of work 6 months approx ago and had a good catch up on all things pipe bands, and plants, the next call asked where was Annie Walker and the lady said she had some health issues. and now we have to say goodbye, see you later, this is not the end you know........but very sad to hear the news, bestest wishes to you all. So sorry to hear. I wish I could hear her bag pipes one last time. It was a true pleasure to count Ann as a friend. Her laugh and smile could brighten the coldest room, her energy and determination was an inspiration to all. When many thought that the McKenzie War Memorial would be little more than a ghost hunt, resulting in a few rocks (maybe) Ann never gave up and the tears of happiness she shed will always remain a special memory. My Condolences to the family.
