So very sad and shocked to hear today of Andrew's passing. We were neighbours when we were children and friends through our teens until we went off to different universities and careers. We briefly made contact shortly before Andrew retired and then lost contact once again when he disappeared off Linkedin. I have fond memories of Andrew as a caring friend with a sharp intellect and a wickedly funny sense of humour. I will always remember him as a man of integrity who loved his saviour and who looked out for the people around him. He is a thoroughly decent human being and I know he is treasured and missed by his family and will be remembered by you all with love, affection and pride. At some time in the future when your grief turns to fond memories, you will remember him with humour and a kind smile. He never failed to make me laugh out loud. Go well Andrew. Your passing leaves us poorer and the thought that you are no longer here has left my heart feeling numb and empty. Kindest regards and condolences to Andrew's family and close friends at such a sad time. Matthew 25 vs 23.
