Amelia WADDELL Obituary

Peacefully at Resthaven Village on Thursday, July 24, 2025, aged 92 years. Much loved wife of the late Les for almost 70 years, loved and honoured Mum and mother-in-law of the late Alan (Ox), Barry (Basil) and Stephanie, Karen and David McKenzie, Heather and Stephen (Lofty) Kelly, Colin (Wingi) and Leigh, Graham and Jo; adored Nana and Old Nana of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A family celebration for Amy's life has been held. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Resthaven Village for their care and compassion given to Mum and the family. In lieu of flowers donations to Hokonui St John would be appreciated. Messages to 3 Irving Street, Gore 9710.

I met Amy briefly at the rest home. Her quick wit and cheeky nature has always stuck with me and had so obviously rubbed off on the children I met. She always shared a deep gratitude for her children.
