Alyth GUISE Obituary

With deep love and sadness, the family announce that Alyth Margaret Ethel Guise (nee McDonald) of Gore, peacefully passed away in Gore Hospital, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, February 8, 2026; in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Graeme, treasured mother and mother-in-law of Malcolm and Heny, Kozett and Richard, and the late Martin, cherished Nana and great-nana, precious sister and sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt, adored and dear friend to many. A private family cremation and interment of ashes were held at Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill, in accordance with Alyth's wishes. Special heartfelt thanks to the warm and caring staff of the Gore Hospital and Gore Health Centre, for the professional and warm support of Alyth and her family. SO sorry to hear of Alyths passing, this truly made us all very sad, but also happy that we have such wonderful memories of a very special lady, who cared for all children in her home, as if they were her own, Alyth you are a one in a million person, and we could never thankyou enough for all you and Graeme did for our family and the super fun childhood memories our kids have, because of your nuturing, may you rest in peace lovely lady, thoughts to all your family at this time.
