Alten NIXON Obituary

Passed away peacefully at dawn at Maryann Rest Home Stratford on Friday 28th November 2025. Aged 95 years. Beloved husband of Merelle. Father and father-in-law of Julian and Gael, Gabrielle and Bruce, Christopher and Maree. Grandfather to Lachlan, Georgia, Hugh, Harriet and Eleanor. All messages to the Nixon family can be sent to C/- PO Box 218, Stratford 4352. A service for Alten will be held at the Mary Alice Chapel, 119 Regan Street, Stratford, on Monday 15th December at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.

Condolences to Merelle and family.I have known Alten for many years at the Stratford golf club.A great golf member and administrator which honour ed him as a member of the Taranaki Eagles Golf Society.I visited him regularly at Maryann the last time the day before he passed away.RIP Alten.Sorry we cannot make funeral are away in Australia.
