Ada Beatrice (nee Powell):
Passed away peacefully January 8, 2023 at the Charles Fleming Retirement Village, Waikanae, in her 97th year. Born at Llangunllo in Wales. Ada came to NZ in 1946 as a War Bride. She was the beloved wife of the late Dirk Kattenberg and the late Roy Ashworth, Paraparaumu. Also remembering her late fiancé Mervyn Davis RNZAF 427103 of Invercargill. Died on Active Service 17 March 1945 and buried at Durnbach War Cemetery, Germany. Loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Marie Porter (Aust), and Margaret and Mike Fraser (Auckland). Grandmother and Great-Grandmother of many. Special thanks to Ba and Staff for their care and support to Ada and family. In accordance with Ada's wishes, a private cremation has already been held.
